European Accessibility Act · D.Lgs. 82/2022

Who is subject to digital accessibility law?

Five questions, about 30 seconds. A first read on the EAA and digital accessibility — not a legal opinion.

What type of organisation are you?

In Italy and the EU, private-sector digital accessibility duties come mainly from the European Accessibility Act (Directive 2019/882, implemented in Italy by Legislative Decree 82/2022). It especially covers those offering products or services to consumers via a website or app — e-commerce, financial services, transport, telecoms, travel and other B2C services. Microenterprises under 10 employees (and, for some services, under €2 million turnover) may be excluded from part of the duties, but not in every case. Public bodies are already covered by earlier rules. This tool is a first indication, not legal advice.
