What is web accessibility and why is it required?
Web accessibility means designing sites people with any disability can use. It is mandatory for Italian public bodies under the Stanca Act (2004) and, for in-scope private organisations, under the European Accessibility Act (EAA) from 28 June 2025.
Does the widget alone make a site EAA-compliant?
No. The widget is a personalisation overlay: it helps people with specific needs, but it does not fix the source code and does not replace structural WCAG 2.2 AA conformance. Use it together with scanning, fixes and human review.
What is the risk if my site is not EAA-compliant?
In-scope private organisations may face administrative fines, formal complaints and legal action. An inaccessible site also excludes a significant share of people with disabilities.
Does LEXABLE certify accessibility?
No. LEXABLE is an automated monitoring tool that supports the accessibility journey — not a legal certification. Automated checks do not replace manual audits, user testing or the site owner's responsibility. The generated statement is a draft to review against the live site.
Does it work with WordPress and other CMS?
Yes. It works with any site. The scanner analyses public pages by URL, the widget installs with a JavaScript snippet, and the statement is a draft generated from scan data.
